There is no effort in forgiving, it’s the holding on to resentment that is taking the energy.
Life is too short to hold on to resentments and to guilty feelings. Love and let love as well as live and let live.
The person who has hurt us is not thinking about us. They’ve moved on and their actions and our pain hold us captive. So, it is to our benefit to really let it go. When it comes up in our thoughts push it out again. Eventually we can have a day where the pain isn’t. ~ Linda Baldwin
